Girls' Generation's Seohyun Shows Off Her S-Line in Photoshoot for First Look Magazine

A much more toned and slimmer picture of Seohyun was released online today. In the shared picture, Seohyun is in the middle of a photoshoot for May's issue of First Look Magazine.

Seohyun is wearing a form-fitting black outfit, which outlines her toned, s-line figure. The multi-talented singer has recently lost weight and toned her body. Although she was beautiful before, many have commented that she has upgraded her appearance. Excited fans will have to wait until next week when the cover shoot images will be officially released on May 3.

Netizens commented, “How is Seohyun so beautiful?”, “She is getting prettier!” and, “The word ‘pretty’ doesn’t suit her anymore – she’s beautiful.”

Girls’ Generation’s sub-unit, TaeTiSeo have been preparing for their upcoming performances and appearances.  TaeTiSeo is a combination of Taeyeon, Tiffany and Seohyun’s names. With teasers being released this week, their mini album, “Twinkle,” will be released on April 29.

Girls’ Generation Seohyun captivates fans with her mature S-line figure

A snapshot from Girls’ Generation member Seohyun‘s recent photo shoot has been revealed.

On April 26th, FirstLook magazine shared the photo above via their official Twitter page and wrote, “A sneak peek into the photo shoot set for the cover of First Look! The SM members have come together. The cover will be revealed May 3rd.”

Seohyun who is known for her toned, slim physique posed for the camera displaying her S-line form. Dressed in a black ensemble, Seohyun captivated her fans with her dark goddess appeal.

“How can she be so pretty?” her fans asked, while also writing, “Gets prettier by the day. She’s becoming a mature woman!”, “More than beautiful, cannot express her beauty in words,” and more.

In related news, Seohyun is preparing to debut with Taetiseo, a Girls’ Generation subgroup with fellow members Taeyeon and Tiffany. The trio will be kicking off their new promotions in early May.

‘Running Man’ cast members “arrested”?

Viewers couldn’t help but laugh during the opening of the April 22nd episode of ‘Running Man‘ as the cast members were each abruptly “arrested” for the most outrageous reasons.
The ‘Running Man’ members were each left stranded in different locations, but were soon met with men in black suits that had come to arrest them.
Yoo Jae Suk was the first to be arrested by these mysterious men. The reason behind his arrest: 1) for always wearing skinny jeans, 2) being obsessed with the color green, and 3) for being a perfectionist. HaHa was the next member arrested for his disorderly conduct, as he is always confessing his love to every girl that guests on the show.
The men in black suits then approached muscle man Kim Jong Kook and arrested him stating, “You overreact everytime Yoon Eun Hye is mentioned. You will be arrested for the ‘Yoon Eun Hye crime’.”
Big nose hyung Ji Suk Jin was up next and arrested for his poor acting skills, followed by Song Ji Hyo being arrested for always appearing on the program without any makeup, aka ‘bare face crime’.
Lee Kwang Soo was under a special arrest for betraying his fellow members 12 times, for not being scared seven times, for always having misfortune, and more. Lastly, according to Article 14, Section 1 of the ‘Running Man’ law, Gary was arrested for being unattractive.

Fans can rejoice as a few members from KARA, f(x), 4minute, and miss A were recently spotted recording for ‘Running Man‘!
On April 24th, many fans caught a glimpse of the idols recording for the show and immediately uploaded proof-shots onto various social networking sites. The list of idols that were said to be spotted filming in front of the Shinsegae Department Store included Seungyeon, Krystal, Suzy, HyunA, and Gyuri.
The recording seems to be for another “girl group special” after almost a year, with the last participants being miss A‘s Suzy, T-ara‘s Jiyeon, and f(x)‘s Sulli and Luna.

SHINee’s Taemin voted as the idol most wanted by other idol groups

MBC Everyone‘s ‘Weekly Idol‘ revealed the results of a newly conducted poll where they asked idols to choose the idol they most want to bring into their own group.
miss A, FT Island, TEEN TOP, B1A4, and more participated in the poll and selected the idol they most wanted in their own group for various reasons such as entertainment skills, musical abilities, good looks, and more.
The one idol that was selected the most by his own peers was none other than SHINee‘s Taemin. “He’s young but he sings and dances really well,” they said, and also selected his ‘pretty’ appearance as another reason why he would be a good addition to their team.
MC Jung Hyung Don was surprised after looking at a photo of Taemin dressed as a female, and remarked that even he was momentarily attracted to Taemin’s good looks.
f(x) member Sulli and miss A’s Suzy were also selected as lovely girl group members to have in your own group. Other male idols that ranked in the top were fashionista and song-writing genius G-Dragon, and JYJ‘s Junsu for his amazing vocals.

TVXQ to make their Korean comeback during the second half of the year

Brace yourselves Cassiopeia because the kings of K-pop will be making their long-waited comeback in Korea!
Just before the start of the last ‘Live Tour~TONE’ concert in Osaka, TVXQ held an interview stating, “We are preparing for a comeback in the second half of the year.”
They continued with, “We concentrated on working in Japan for the first half of the year, but we believe our Korean fans are also waiting for us. We are planning to return to Korea soon with a new image. We have not set an exact date yet, but we will comeback during a good period of time and achieve good results. We also plan to hold concerts if possible.”
After holding 26 concerts for the past three months, TVXQ will go into preparing for the Korean comeback album after their break. Yunho stated with a smile, “After this, the first thing I want to do is rest, because I honestly cannot ignore the tired feeling that creeps up on me throughout the three hour concerts. Today’s concert is the last one, so I’m a little worn out. However, I am also drawing strength from the thought that this is our last concert.”
Changmin also stated, “First I want to relieve the stress that has built up by having a few drinks with my friends and such. We are doing our best to come back with a new album before the end of this year. In order to make the best album, we will take some time off after this last concert to rest.”

SHINee’s Taemin discusses dressing up like a girl on ‘Hello’

On the April 23rd episode of KBS‘ ‘Hello‘, SHINee‘s Taemin revealed the consequences of as well as his personal impressions on cross-dressing.
Taemin revealed, “I think I dress up as a girl often these days. I’m not showing off, but when I look in the mirror after dressing up, I really look like a girl.”
MC Lee Young Ja then asked him, “So why do you not want to dress like a girl anymore?” Onew humorously commented, “I think he gets confused about his gender identity,” getting laughter from the hosts and the audience.

Taiwanese fan spends half her monthly earnings to watch SHINee perform in Korea

An avid fan of SHINee‘s Taemin guest-featured on the most recent broadcast of ‘Hello‘.
KBS 2TV‘s ’Hello’ invites everyday citizens to appear on the show to share their concerns, and most recently, a SHINee fan from Taiwan made an appearance to share her own personal dilemma.
Taiwanese guest Sa Hwa Sun who impressed the audience with her fluent Korean remarked, “I am a fan of SHINee, but SHINee has so many different activities,” admitting that she was using up her entire savings to travel and watch each of SHINee’s performances.
Sa Hwa Sun who teaches Chinese at a Taiwanese Junior High School visits Korea at least twice a month to see SHINee, and revealed that she has spent a large sum of money on plane tickets alone. She makes roughly around $1,200 a month, and spends half of her earnings to attend SHINee performances. She has purchased 30 copies of SHINee’s new album ‘Sherlock‘, and is also working part time at a private educational institute in the evenings.
Aside from her financial dilemma, she isn’t even able to publicly admit her love for SHINee to her students. She risked being fired from her job at the school to attend the show that day.
Still, she could not stop gushing about SHINee. “The SHINee members are like little brothers to me,” she said. “They are adorable. They’re more beautiful than women, but they are so charismatic at the same time.”
Sa Hwa Sun has also spent all the money she has been saving to get married. “I don’t think I’ll be able to get married, as my standards are too high now after seeing SHINee.” She also remarked that Taemin could not get married, as he is the love icon for many women out there. “Taemin cannot get married,” she said flatly, surprising everyone on set.
Sa Hwa Sun also revealed that she had once gifted Taemin with a black sweater, and Taemin suddenly remarked, “Oh, the black one. I think I’m actually wearing it today.”
“I was organizing my closet, and this one just stood out to me,” Taemin said. “I wore it today for the first time in a long time.” The sweater was surprisingly the exact sweater Sa Hwa Sun had given him.
The MCs revealed that the sweater was completely coincidental, explaining, “The SHINee members came to film today without knowing what kind of dilemmas the guests would be sharing on the show, and Taemin just happened to wear the sweater,” displaying their own shock.

Seohyun’s best friend, Lee Hwan Hee to mark her debut with “Secret”

Girls’ Generation member Seohyun‘s best friend, Lee Hwan Hee is finally launching her solo debut!
Lee Hwan Hee is scheduled to release a teaser for her debut single, “Secret” on April 23rd before the official release on the 25th.
According to Hwan Hee’s company, Worthy Entertainment, Lee Hwan Hee’s new single, “Secret” is a medium-tempo, ballad song.  Lee Hwan Hee has a long background in music, as she has trained under SM Entertainment for seven whole years, in addition to 3 more years with Worthy Entertainment!  ”Secret”, which was composed by Hwang Jae Woong contains lyrics involving a shy girl who tries to express her feelings of love.  It contains a soft melody that will remind you of your first love; a perfect song that befits the spring season!
The main actress who will be featured in the music video is none other than actress, Yoo Shin Ae who is famous for her role in the movie, ‘Whispering Corridors 5‘.  She will be portraying an innocent and shy girl.  In addition, the music video has been directed by Park Byung Hwan, who is responsible for filming numerous music videos for many singers and idols along with a line of commercial films.

SHINee’s Taemin displays his fierce charisma with a dance performance on ‘Immortal Song 2′

SHINee‘s Taemin blew the audience away with his lavish performance on ‘Immortal Song 2‘.
On the April 21st episode of KBS 2TV‘s ‘Immortal Song 2′, Lim Tae Kyung, LYn, Taemin, Ailee, ALi, No Brain, and Sung Hoon performed the hits of legendary singer Yoon Soo Il.
Taemin performed Yoon Soo Il’s “Wonderful Confession“, and pulled off a fierce and powerful dance performance stage wearing Yoon Soo Il’s trademark leather jacket. Taemin perfectly shook off his boyish charm, and displayed his more charismatic and masculine side.
“Your dance was impressive,” Yoon Soo Il remarked after watching him perform. “It was superb,” while the other backstage who were also blown away by Taemin’s performance remarked that they got goosebumps watching him. “It was a stage that showcased everything that Taemin is good at,” they said, not holding back their applause towards the idol singer.
MC Shin Dong Yup then asked Taemin to sing a little bit of trot for everyone, and Taemin did not hesitate to display his wide variety of talents.

SM Entertainment Releases Music Video for ‘I AM’ OST, ‘Dear My Family’

SM Entertainment has just released the music video for a song titled “Dear My Family”, from the OST of “I AM”, a documentary that will begin airing in select theaters worldwide in May. “I AM” will reveal footage of SM Entertainment artists from behind-the-scenes at SMTown New York in Madison Square Garden, as well as showing glimpses into the artists’ lives as trainees.

“Dear My Family” is a touching ballad featuring vocals from many of the most powerful singers in SM Entertainment, including Taeyeon, BoA, Kangta, TVXQ’s Yunho and Changmin, Super Junior’s Yesung, SHINee’s Jonghyun, f(x)’s Luna, , EXO-K’s D.O., and EXO-M’s Luhan. The music video shows the singers recording “Dear My Family”, SM Entertainment’s artists exploring New York City, and many clips of the artists during their trainee days. The members of Girls’ Generation can be spotted several times throughout the video in clips from auditions, dance rehearsals, after their debut with “Into The New World”, and finally from their performance of “The Boys” at SMTown New York.

CNBLUE’s Jung Yonghwa plans to hit the gym during his time off

CNBLUE‘s Jung Yonghwa revealed some insight into what he plans to do with his time off.

CNBLUE who released their third mini-album ‘EAR FUN‘ on March 26th, officially ended promotions with their final performance on the April 22nd edition of SBS ‘Inkigayo‘.

Ahead of their last performance, they held an interview backstage on April 20th’s KBS2‘s ‘Music Bank‘.

It was here where they stated, “We planned on four weeks of promotions before we made our comeback, but we are a little sad that time flew by so quickly. We will be focusing on individual activities, and will return with a new album towards the end of the year that will consist more of a musical style that we members like.”

Yonghwa who is taking a 2-month break remarked, “This is my first vacation since we debuted. I will most likely focus on creating music for our next album. I’m already excited.”

“I will also be working out to create a more fit physique,” he added. “I will exercise hard and come back and surprise everyone,” causing his fellow members to explode in laughs.

Member Kang Min Hyuk will be focusing on his new drama, KBS2′s ‘You Who Rolled In Unexpectedly‘, while Lee Jonghyun will be focusing on his own drama role in SBS ‘Gentlemen’s Dignity‘.

Girls’ Generation sub-unit Taetiseo releases debut album jacket cover for ‘Twinkle’

Girls’ Generation‘s sub-unit, ‘Taetiseo‘, is gearing up for the release of their debut mini-album, ‘Twinkle‘, on April 29th!

The girls will be releasing their title track through iTunes for the global market with a special photo booklet that will be different from its offline release.

The title track, “Twinkle”, is the production of Jam Factory‘s Brandon Fraley, Jamelle Fraley, and Javier Solis, and is described to be a modern rearrangement of ’70s and ’80s style music like Stevie Wonder. As it is a medium tempo dance track of the funky soul genre, fans can definitely expect to see a new side to the girls.

Following the title track release on Itunes and online portals on April 29th, the full album will be released the next day on the 30th.

Taetiseo’s debut is already rocking the search portal charts, sweeping every entertainment board imaginable as they slowly release teasers one by one.

Fans can expect the album’s offline release on May 2nd.

[News] CNBlue to Reveal Their Dormitory

MBC’s special new show “Possessed by K-Pop Star World – Just CNBlue” revealed CNBlue’s dormitory for the episode that will broadcast on April 21. The broadcast will show the everyday normal lives of CNBlue. Viewers will be treated to CNBlue relaxing while watching TV or cleaning out their dormitory for spring.

However, during cleaning time it wasn’t the leader Jung Yong Hwa who was giving out orders but their youngest member Jung Shin. He scolds the other members every day and even does their dishes. He is known as the “Touching Momma.”

The broadcast will also show Jung Yong Hwa writing music in his room which is pretty much a recording studio. He was quoted as saying, “When I make a song really fast it just comes out in 10 minutes, but when I can’t seem to finish a song I just erase it.” It will also show Min Hyuk practicing lines for his drama “Unexpected You.”

‘K-Pop Star Captivating the World’ to spotlight CNBLUE’s rise to fame

Following their spotlight on Kim Hyun Joong, MBC‘s ‘K-Pop Star Captivating the World‘ will be featuring a segment on CNBLUE‘s rise to fame.

CNBLUE is largely considered one of the main figureheads of the Hallyu wave for their part in shifting the focus from idol groups to band music. They were recognized for their talents as an indie band in Japan before they officially debuted in Korea, and have since landed each of their albums at the top of the Oricon chart.

Before their debut in Korea, the boys held over 100 underground performances on the streets of Japan and slowly built up their fan base. Their journey to immense popularity will be revealed in depth on the program.
Another point of interest for fans will be a realistic view of the obstacles CNBLUE had to face in Japan, including an encounter with the police. Unlike Korea, performing on the streets in Japan requires special notification to the local police station, which the CNBLUE members were unaware of at first.

Regarding the experience, the members stated, “The Japanese policemen were really nice. They even bought us cola.”

Rock band CNBLUE will be revealing their everyday life through MBC’s documentary “K-Pop Star Captivates the World.” Following the first show featuring Hallyu star Kim Hyun Joong, this weekend’s ongoing special will air CNBLUE’s story.

Titled “Just CNBLUE”, the special will be broadcast on April 21. The upcoming episode will show the everyday normal lives of CNBLUE. It will also feature the preparations for their third mini album “EAR FUN”, individual activities and members“ in-depth interviews.

Seohyun’s beautiful figure in bed commercial impresses netizens

Girls’ Generation member Seohyun has recently garnered a lot of attention and praise for her appearance in a new mattress commercial.

An online community board post titled, “Seohyun is filming a bed commercial, but her body is…” has surfaced with the above photos. The advertisement pictured was filmed for a bed and mattress company, Ace, which featured Seohyun alongside fellow member YoonA as the main models. The rest of the Girls’ Generation members make an appearance as well.

The Girls’ Generation maknae’s graceful figure was accented by her body-hugging sleepwear as she filmed in the dreamy setting.

Girls’ Generation Voted Most Popular Female Singer for First Half of 2012

Lee’s PR, a research company, revealed on April 18th that Girls’ Generation was the most popular female singer in the first half of 2012.
1,329 people voted in the poll, awarding Girls’ Generation 26.9% of the vote. Girls’ Generation beat IU, Wonder Girls, Baek Jiyoung, Lee Hyori and Miss A to the top female singer spot. Other than a slight slip in late 2011 where they fell down to number two, Girls’ Generation have held the number one spot in the “Female Singer” part of the poll since 2009.

The poll results come as Girls’ Generation’s popularity is soaring both in South Korea and worldwide. Their 2nd Asia Tour received international love, but their popularity is not just limited to Asia. The girls travelled to New York to film for “Late Show with David Letterman” and “Live with Kelly”, and also held a fansign event during their visit. The girls then attended “Music Bank in Paris”, further extending their popularity into Europe. Although Girls’ Generation did not promote much in Korea in the first half of 2012, their global activities have made their fanbase even larger, truly making them deserving of the title of “Most Popular Female Singer” of the first half of 2012.

Girls’ Generation’s subunit “Girls’ Generation–TaeTiSeo” will release their first mini-album “Twinkle” in the near future.

The first incarnation of Girls’ Generation’s new subunit project, Girls’ Generation–TaeTiSeo is comprised of the amazing vocals of Taeyeon, Tiffany, and Seohyun. “Twinkle” is expected to be released on May 2nd, and listeners can look forward to the rich music and attractive vocals that will be featured.

SM Entertainment officially announced the creation of this new subunit on April 19th. They said in a statement, “Girls’ Generation’s subunit will feature the various talents of each Girls’ Generation member by changing the members of the unit according to the music and concept of each new subunit album. This subunit will aim to grab the attention of fans with all aspects of music, performance, and fashion styles.”

In the past few days, rumors of Girls’ Generation forming their first ever sub-unit have been spreading like wildfire in the K-Pop industry. The rumors sparked from a message board of a music publishing company saying, “Our music producer’s song has been confirmed for the album of Girls’ Generation’s unit (Taeyeon, Tiffany, Jessica) and we currently arranging it.”

It seemed that their proposed sub-unit are true! Girls’ Generation confirmed the reports and announced their first sub-unit. The subunit will in fact consist of Taeyeon, Tiffany and Seohyun (not Jessica). They will be joining forces to create the unit called “Taetiseo”, and their first mini-album has been entitled “Twinkle”.

“Taetiseo” is presumably a reference to the names of the three group members: Taeyeon, Tiffany and Seohyun. Their new album will contain songs which made up of different music genres and will feature their charming and powerful vocal skills.

“Twinkle” will be released on May 2nd.

The subunit will in fact consist of Taeyeon, Tiffany, and Seohyun. The subunit is being called Taetiseo and they will release their mini album “TWINKLE” on May 2. [News] CNBLUE’s Jung Yonghwa can compose a song in just ten minutes

CNBLUE‘s lead vocal Yonghwa shared his own unique style of song writing.

On the a recent recording of MBC‘s ‘K-Pop Star Captivating the World‘, CNBLUE revealed their dorm to the audience as well as some stories from their every day lives.

Jung Yonghwa who shared that he usually likes to write songs at their dorm remarked, “When I compose a song quickly, it can take as little as ten minutes. However, when I have difficulty in composition, I’ll just boldly throw it in the trash.”

Yonghwa participated in putting together not only the band’s Korean album, but their Japanese release as well. CNBLUE’s Japanese single “Where You Are” written by Yonghwa climbed to #1 on the Oricon Chart, and it was the first time in 41 years a foreign rock band accomplished such a feat. It last occurred back in January 18, 1971, when Canadian rock band Mashmakhan released their single “As the Years Go By” under the name “Two in the fog“. Yonghwa also wrote 5 of the 6 songs on their newest album, ‘EAR FUN‘.

Not only is Yonghwa writing for his own group’s album but he is also actively writing and producing songs for his junior artist who will be debuting in the near future.

[News] Girls’ Generation’s Seohyun Beats miss A’s Suzy for “Youngest Mascot” Girl Group Member Honor

Who would you pick as the #1 youngest girl group member that serves as the “mascot” of the group?


According to a recent poll conducted on DC Inside, a Korean online community board, Girls’ Generation’s Seohyun received a whopping 55% of the votes to earn the top “youngest mascot” member of all girl groups.

In the survey that ran from April 3 to 11, Seohyun got 3,466 votes out of the total 6,297 votes. The survey organizer explained Seohyun’s girl-next-door look, combined with her surprisingly sexy and elegant image, earned her the top spot.

miss A’s Suzy came in at second with 14.2% of the votes, followed by f(x)’s Krystal who received 5.6% of total responses. T-ara’s Jiyeon, Brown Eyed Girls’ Ga In, and Kara’s Kang Ji Young were ranked #4, #5, and #6, respectively.

On April 11th, the 19th National Assembly Election took place in South Korea. As responsible citizens, a number of K-Pop idols were able to cast their votes for the first time.



The idol stars whose birthdays fall between June 3rd, 1991 and April 11th, 1993 will become eligible to vote this year. Girl group members that are voting for the first time this year include, Girls’ Generation’s Seohyun, Wonder Girls’ Sohee and Hyerim, 4minute’s HyunA, After School’s Nana, Lizzy and E-Young, Girl’s Day’s Yura and more.

A new couple is set to appear on MBC Music’s "Music and Lyrics"!

CNBLUE’s Jung Yonghwa and SNSD’s Seohyun are set to continue their love story as both were chosen to be the third couple to appear on the show.

"Music and Lyrics" is a variety show that features a male and a female artist working together in creating a song within the deadline of thirty days. The musician chosen composes the song while it is the responsibility of the other artist to provide the lyrics. PD Kim hasn't stated yet what their mission would be but the concept of the show have given their fans high expectations.

YongSeo couple is known for the "Banmal Song" UCC video that has reached over 2million views in its first week on Youtube; marking, without doubts, the huge popularity that this couple has around the world. The staff of the show, along with the fans of the couple are looking forward for the next song from these two.

Their first recording will take place on April 3rd and the first broadcast is set to air on April 14.
